Paulette Szalay, the creator and author of Baggy Maggy and Friends Save Stinkville is a middle school science teacher in an urban district in New Jersey. Paulette has a BS Degree in Biology and has two Master's Degrees, one in Education Administration, and one in Curriculum and Instruction in Reading.
Since Paulette believes it is important for all students to read, literacy is integrated in all of her science lessons. Using her Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction in Reading, Paulette created Baggy Maggy and Friends picture book series to teach children various science topics through adventurous stories.
Paulette believes in giving back to the communities in need. A percentage of the proceeds from Baggy Maggy and Friends books will be donated to purchase school supplies for students in need.
In the first book of the series, Baggy Maggy and Friends Save Stinkville, Baggy Maggy and her friends are called by Officer Joe to help the city of Stinkville from pollution destruction. Baggy Maggy and her friends travel through Baggy Maggy's bag to Stinkville. They are greeted by the Mayor of Stinkville. Baggy Maggy and her friends come up with a plan to teach the townspeople
how to recycle, reduce and reuse, while cleaning up the polluted city.
